Proofreading involves checking your text for any spelling, punctuation or grammatical errors, as well as ensuring there is consistency in formatting and generally making sure it 'makes sense.'

Editing takes proofreading a step further.  It includes the above as well as suggesting improvements to language, sentence and paragraph structure, to ensure a clear, logical structure and consistency in style.

PRICING

Each job is unique and I prefer to quote on your specific needs.  I'd love to see a sample of your text.  This will enable me to assess whether the job is a quick proofread or requires more editing.  We can then agree a structure which suits you - whether it's an hourly rate for a larger project or a price per page or word limit.  

​As a general indication, my cost will be around $40 per hour (minimum one hour charge).
